Oh well, as you may see the pictorial display of this life-changing moment, there is not much you can make of it if you only think of it as just another business exchange. However, this moment is the very one that marks the genesis of the good and wealthy life Jack and his family eventually enjoyed. Jack took it upon himself to make a trade that even his mother could not find a way to believe that Jack can do such a thing. He traded their cow, which was their only source of income to a magician for three magic beans.
